Why is my makeup not magnetising to the palette?

Our palettes are created with some of the strongest magnetic sheets for makeup available, however there can be a few reasons for this problem!
The most common problems are as follows:

Your makeup is not in a metal pan
Some brands do not use metal pans, instead use aluminium, to save costs. If the pan is not even slightly magnetising to the palette then this is likely the case.
Simply add a Metal Sticker to the bottom of the pan and it is ready to go!

Your makeup is lightly magnetising or not strongly holding even though it is in a metal pan
Chances are you have leftover glue or cardboard on the back of the product after depotting. A layer, no matter how thin, can prevent the product magnetising to its full strength. Simply use our Thumb Scraper to easily scrape off any excess glue off the back and it will be ready to go!

Why is the palette not closing once it is filled?

Your products are most likely higher than the 4mm depth per side of our palette.
Most standard makeup products fit within this height but unfortunately products that are domed or baked are too tall to fit.

Does the makeup touch or have any fallout within the palette?

If your products are within our 4mm depth per side, then the makeup will not touch.

Like any makeup palette, single or double sided, fallout is inevitable. Also like any other palette, regular cleaning and sanitation should be done for maintenance.

To limit any excess fallout, we do recommend putting a piece of baking paper in the middle and storing palettes upright not flat when closed.
